Homemade Fun

Ian and I made play-doh last week and had so much fun. This is a very easy recipe and it turned out really good. Just wanted to share it with all you moms who are looking for something else to fill up the time before the afternoon nap:-)

3 cups flour
1/3 cup salt
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 cup water
7 drops of food coloring
  • Mix the dry ingredients with oil
  • Add food coloring to water and mix
  • Add water to other mixture (add 1/4 cup at a time)
  • Kneed with hands

Use cookie cutters for different shapes and for 'mess-free' fun, play with it on cookie sheets.

Washing the Car with Daddy

Today was such a beautiful day that Steve decided to wash the car with Ian's help, of course. Here are some pics of the fun time they had together.

Yard Sale Bargain

I don't get out to yard sales very often but got to check out one in our neighborhood last Saturday. One of the good bargains that I found was this popsicle maker. We let Ian test one out tonight and he loved it - even if it was a little cool outside to be eating a popsicle! The thing I like most about it is the little sippy straw that is attached to catch all the melted juice. It's a nice feature to help prevent a sticky mess when it's over and done with.
