Special Time with Family

The month of July is Steve's month to be preaching away at camps. It is so nice that we live close enough to my parent's house for the kids and I to spend time with family while he is gone.

My grandmother from Maryland came for a three week visit and we had such a wonderful time with her. She came down to Irmo to visit us for a weekend while she was here. Ian especially enjoyed playing games with her, singing songs, counting cars, swinging on the swing, watching birds, taking walks, and many other wonderful things that only great-grandmothers can come up with to keep a two year olds attention. We are looking forward to more visits from her again in the near future.

Spending time with Mamaw
We went to the Riverbanks Zoo together and Mamaw rode the carousel with Ian which made him 'so happy' (as Ian likes to say)!

Ian (28 months) & Hailey (8 months)

Taking a walk with Honey at the fountains

Ian has developed a recent love and interest in any type of fountain. He had fun walking around and seeing the big fountains on Furman campus with his grandparents.

Taking it all in

Ian with his third favorite person in the whole world (next to mommy and daddy, of course).

These are great! Ian is looking more and more like a little man than a little boy! They grow up so fast!

Glad you had a nice visit with Aunt Ruth. She looks great. We haven't seen Cracker in about 10 months. Shame on us. It's just hard to go that far away now that she's not in Akron.

Also, I love your daughter's hair accessories. You do a great job of fixing her up!!

I love the pictures of Hailey in the grass - so cute :) We had an awesome week with Steve here - he did an amazing job with the juniors. Wish you could have come, too! But I'm glad you were able to have family visit while Steve is away - it's hard when the hubby is gone.
